Mission Update MYM
This is a reminder that thanks to your prayers and support, 40 vulnerable children and families in the Charlotte, NC area were provided with the encouragement and resources needed to overcome life’s challenges through this past year. Along with providing over 500 book bags and the final number of Christmas stockings provided to children in need was over 700.
Also in Ethiopia 57 street children were provided basic needs and 11 of whom no longer live in the streets but have either returned home or live in a family environment. Your giving has also impacted 100 extremely poor families to empower them to keep their children home and off the streets. On behalf of them, thank you for saving their lives and their dignity.
A couple months ago I helped Danny, a 14-year-old boy who lived on the streets 7 years, move into his new home with a foster mom. He spent one year at the MYM day center. During that time he was able to get counseling, healthy food, basic education, bible teaching and job training. Without your help, Danny would still be cold, hungry and out on the streets. Today, he is safe, warm, succeeding in school, has a mother to love and encourage him and he is lonely no more.
Every day, your support makes stories like Danny’s possible.

Danny is also succeeding in his studies, attending baptism class and says about himself, “I now feel like I have a place in this world!”
We have launched our 2015 Year-End Campaign. Our goal is to help an additional 100 vulnerable children find a way to get their lives back on track. You see, even though we helped over 1,000 people last year, there are still almost 10,000 homeless children in the streets of Ethiopia that we couldn’t help, because we don’t have the resources to do so.
That’s why our goal for this campaign is to raise $75,000 by December 31st and we’ve already had some gifts come in, but we still have over $70,000 to go. If we raise that amount, we’ll be able to provide food, shelter and clothing for 50 more street children this year than last year. And mentor more at-risk youth in Charlotte, NC. We need your help to make it happen.
Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us meet our goal and bring more children off the streets and into family?
We simply can’t do it without you. Your support will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of those who are still in need.
Thank you for your support and the impact that you are making in the lives of these amazing children.
